Battery

► To open the battery compartment, place your thumb on the recess,

press down and slde forward.

► Insert the suppled 9V battery payng attenton to the plus (+) and

mnus (-) poles. If the battery s nserted n the wrong drecton, the

battery cover wll not close.

Low Battery Life Alert

► When the battery s low, the yellow LED wll blnk contnuously and

the devce wll contnue workng untl the battery des.

Turning On the Device

► Before turnng on the devce, hold the devce away from metallc

objects ncludng your watch and jewelry. Turn on the devce by

sldng the swtch to ether audo or vbraton alert.

► When the devce s turned on a long beep wll be heard and the

green LED wll llumnate. At start up, the red LEDs wll lght up for a

short perod of tme ndcatng battery lfe status and then they wll go

o. Durng operaton, the red LEDs wll ndcate the sgnal level or the

senstvty level.

Audio or Vibration Alert

► The devce operates on the prncple of moton. The devce wll not

produce a sgnal when held stll over a metal. You must move the

devce over the metal n order for the devce to detect t. When the

devce detects metal, t wll produce an audo or vbraton alert

accordng to your mode selecton. The rate of the pulsng audo or

vbratons wll ncrease as the devce gets closer to the metallc object

and t wll decrease as the devce s moved away. When the devce s n

audo mode the red LEDs wll also llumnate accordng to the sgnal

strength provdng vsual warnng as well.

Earphone Jack

► For a slent operaton or to use the devce more convenently n

nosy envronments, nsert the optonal earphone jack here.
